G is for Grapefruit

This is one that I use regularly. It is the last part of a mix that I prepare to boost the health of my chest area as I have a familial history of breast cancer. Grapefruit has an affinity with the pineal glad so helps rebalance your circadian rhythms (Body clock) so useful when you've been through different time zones. This hormonal gland also helps with your appetite so grapefruit is useful to add a drop or 2 in a glass of water to help dissipate hunger.  This oil has been seen to help fat metabolism through trials carries out by Doterra.

A client of mine had a blend made up using grapefruit in part when she wanted to reduce the fluid retention in her legs.  Helping sluggish flow is also why I use it around my chest and lymphatic nodes in my armpits to help free flow of energy and lymph.

Another question often asked about Grapefruit essential oil is whether it creates problems with some medication. An US Emergency Medicine Physician Dr Gough who is also part of Doterra Medical Advisory Board answers this question on this link

On Emotional level, Grapefruit helps to be aware of ones physical needs rather than emotional eating. To curb cravings and to help realise that no amount of food will fill a hole in your heart if suffering from heartbreak.

In the hand diagram this time it shows where to find the Lymphatic ducts in between thumb and 1st finger on this hand is your thoracic duct reflex point that helps drain fluid from all your left side and the right below your middle. Whereas on the other hand is your duct that drains from your head to torso on the right; to help lymphatic drainage squeeze these areas. The arrow denotes the position of the pineal gland and hypothalamus gland to help boost their functions and regulate temperature.

Just a reminder that this oil is citrus so avoid sun exposure for 12 hours if using topically.
